2007-2008 Miller School Technology Workshops:
Monday October 15th (7:45-8:45 AM) Come to this one hour session for an overview of how technology can be integrated into your Math curriculum at the K-2 level. Topics will include: Data Collection/ Graphing & Sorting and Online Resources including the Math Forum & NCTM's Illuminations web sites. Information will be provided for using these resources in the computer lab, as a part of the classroom learning
center and for whole group instruction using the SmartBoard or LCD projector.
Monday November 26th (7:45-8:45 AM) Come to this one hour session for an overview of how technology can be integrated into your English/ Language Arts curriculum at the K-2 level. Topics will include: Graphic Organizers (Kidspiration & Inspiration) and Online Resources including the NCET Read Write & Think website. Information will be provided for using these resources in the computer lab,
as a part of the classroom learning center and for whole group instruction using the SmartBoard or LCD projector.
Monday January 7th (7:45-8:45 AM) Come to this one hour session for an overview of how technology can be integrated into your Social Studies curriculum at the K-2 level. Topics will include: Timeliner 5.0 and Online Resources including the NCEE EconEdLink, EdSiteMent & National Geographic Xpeditions & Smithsonian websites. Information will be provided for using these resources in the computer
lab, as a part of the classroom learning center and for whole group instruction using the SmartBoard or LCD projector.
Integrating Technology into your Science Curriculum Monday February (7:45-8:45 AM) Come to this one hour session for an overview of how technology can be integrated into your Science curriculum at the K-2 level. Topics will include: the Digital Microscope and Online Resources including the AAAS ScienceNetLinks web site. Information will be provided for using these resources in the computer lab, as a part of the classroom learning center and for whole group instruction using the SmartBoard or LCD
projector.
